Frank Phélan is the second wine of Château Phélan Ségur and was created in 1986. The wine is named after Frank Phélan, the son of founder Bernard Phélan, who further developed the estate in the 19th century.
This Saint-Estèphe combines the character of the grand château with a more accessible style. On the nose, we find aromas of blackcurrant, ripe cherries, graphite, and a hint of cedar. On the palate, the wine is supple and elegant, with silky tannins, beautifully ripe fruit, and a fresh, balanced structure. Thanks to its roundness and fruity charm, Frank Phélan is pleasantly drinkable at a young age, while still retaining the typical finesse and depth of the Saint-Estèphe terroir.
