Since 1983, the Martin family has been writing the history of Domaine de la Creuze Noire year after year. Dominique Martin, born into a family with a winemaking tradition spanning five generations, began his own path by working 5 hectares of vineyards in Leynes. He soon took over the family vineyards, and in 1990, Christine joined the adventure. Shortly thereafter, a wine cellar was built, and the estate was named "Domaine de la Creuze Noire," referring to the "La Creuze Noire" locality in Leynes, where the estate, tasting cellar, and winery are based, as well as Dominique's first vineyards, where our Beaujolais-Villages Leynes is produced.
Loïc Martin began his career as a winemaker in 2009 and joined the family estate in 2013 to preserve the Martin family heritage through the years and generations.
Currently, the Martin family manages more than 30 hectares of vineyards between the Mâconnais and Beaujolais regions. Here, they produce affordable, high-quality wines, which have become very rare in Burgundy. Year after year, their wines receive awards, including in the Guide Hachette!
