The Juwel Weine winery is located in the village of Alsheim, in the German wine region of Rheinhessen. The estate is led by winemaker Juliane Eller, who is known as one of the region's young innovators.
The story of Juwel Weine began in 2013, when Juliane Eller took over the family business at a young age. After her studies in viticulture and gaining experience at various international wineries, she decided to return to her native village to breathe new life into the estate. The original family business was still called Weingut Eller at the time and had already existed for several generations, but Juliane wanted to set a clear new course.
She gave the estate a new name—Juwel Weine—and began a thorough modernization. Both in the vineyards and in the cellar, she placed the emphasis on quality, precision, and sustainability. Old vineyards were re-evaluated, yields were reduced, and vinification was refined to better express the terroir.
Today, Juwel Weine cultivates approximately 23 hectares of vineyards, planted primarily with grape varieties typical of Rheinhessen, such as Riesling, Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris), and Weißburgunder (Pinot Blanc). The style of the wines is characterized by freshness, purity, and a clear reflection of the region's limestone-rich soils.
Under the leadership of Juliane Eller, Juwel Weine has quickly grown into a modern and dynamic winery that is gaining attention both in Germany and internationally. The estate combines respect for family tradition with a contemporary vision of viticulture, making it one of the prominent young producers in Rheinhessen today.
