Vigneti del Salento I Muri Negroamaro

The name Negroamaro comes from Italian and consists of two words: negro means ‘dark color’ and amaro means ‘bitter’. The bitterness in the taste is not too bad, but the color and flavor are intense. Deep red in color with a nose full of fruit, including Amarena cherries and blackcurrant. The mouthfeel is wonderfully full and round, with a slight sweetness and relatively low acidity. Tannins are also barely present in this wine, making it an easy-drinking wine for many occasions. A distinct, slight earthy bitterness in the finish gives the wine just the kick it needs.
