This Lalama is mainly made from Mencía, supplemented with traditional Galician grape varieties such as Brancellao, Mouratón, and Sousón. The grapes come from steep terraced vineyards in Ribeira Sacra, where the combination of granite and slate soils provides a distinct mineral expression.
On the nose, Lalama offers aromas of red cherries, raspberries, plums, and wild berries, complemented by floral notes of violets, balsamic accents, Mediterranean herbs, and subtle spices. On the palate, the wine is refined and juicy, with fresh acidity, silky tannins, and a nice balance between fruit, spice, and minerality. The finish is long, energetic, and elegant.
