The Vesevo Taurasi is a powerful and elegant red wine from Campania, made from 100% Aglianico, a grape variety known for its depth and excellent aging potential. The vineyards are located on the volcanic soils around Mount Vesuvius, where the warm Mediterranean climate and mineral-rich subsoil produce grapes with great concentration and character.
In the glass, the wine presents a deep ruby red color. The bouquet is intense and refined, with aromas of ripe cherries, blackcurrants, and plums, complemented by notes of violets, tobacco, leather, cocoa, spices, and a subtle hint of vanilla thanks to aging in oak.
The palate is full-bodied and powerful, with a beautiful balance between ripe fruit, fresh acidity, and firm, well-integrated tannins. The long, elegant finish leaves behind spicy and slightly mineral nuances, allowing the wine to reveal new layers time and again.
Although it already offers great drinking pleasure now, this wine will develop even more complexity and finesse with a few years of bottle aging, as is characteristic of the great wines of Taurasi.
