Maison & Domaines Les Alexandrins is the result of a shared passion for the great terroirs of the northern Rhône. The story began in 2009, when terroir specialist Alexandre Caso and Guillaume Sorrel, son of the renowned Hermitage winemaker Marc Sorrel, founded Domaine Les Alexandrins in Mercurol. Their ambition was to create authentic Rhône wines that reflect the purity and character of their origins.
In 2012, their paths crossed with that of Nicolas Jaboulet, the sixth generation of a winemaking family from Tain-l'Hermitage whose history dates back to 1834. At the time, Nicolas was at the head of Maison Nicolas Perrin, a négociant established in 2007. Thanks to their combined knowledge of the terroirs and their love for the classic wines of the northern Rhône, the collaboration quickly grew into a close partnership.
In 2015, the activities of Maison Nicolas Perrin and Domaine Les Alexandrins were brought together under one name: Maison & Domaines Les Alexandrins. This created a unique winery that unites two worlds. On one hand, the estate produces wines from its own vineyards (Domaines Les Alexandrins), and on the other, it selects grapes from exceptional plots in the most important appellations of the northern Rhône for the Maison Les Alexandrins range.
Today, Maison & Domaines Les Alexandrins stands for a style that harmoniously combines tradition and modernity. With respect for the vineyard, sustainable viticulture, and minimal intervention in the cellar, Nicolas Jaboulet and Alexandre Caso strive to express the elegance and unique character of appellations such as Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Cornas, Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie, and Condrieu as purely as possible. The result is refined, terroir-driven wines that translate the rich history of the northern Rhône into a contemporary style.
