Bodega De Moya was founded by a successful Belgian entrepreneur, Yves Laurijssens, who brought his family along in his passion for wine. This took them all the way to Valencia, where they are restoring the indigenous Bobal and Monastrell grapes to their former glory with powerful, sunny wines. De Moya’s goal is to create unique wines that possess a rich tradition. By responding to local customs and using modern vinification techniques, they succeed in putting their wines on the map.
The altitude of their various plots ranges between 800m and 950m. This ensures significant differences between day and night temperatures, allowing the grapes to ripen optimally while beautifully preserving their freshness. The wines are named after his wife and children. From his eldest daughter Maria to his wife Sofia, all his family members' names can be found and linked to a specific taste.
