Alabaster from Teso La Monja is the estate's absolute top wine and ranks among the most prestigious wines in Spain. It is made from 100% Tinta de Toro, sourced from ungrafted vines over a hundred years old with an exceptionally low yield. After aging for approximately 18 months in new French oak barrels, the result is a wine of impressive concentration, finesse, and depth.
In the glass, Alabaster shows a deep, almost opaque ruby-red color. The bouquet is intense and layered, with aromas of black cherries, blackberries, cassis, and plums, refined by hints of violets, graphite, cocoa, spices, and subtly integrated oak. On the palate, the wine is powerful and rich, yet remarkably elegant, with velvety tannins, a refined minerality, and an exceptionally long, complex finish.
